Years ago I would wake up and shower and throw my hair wet into a bun. I would have makeup on from days earlier. Bras crusted with dried up milk. I wore what I found. I ate whatever I wanted. I didn't care. But, truthfully, I did care. I just didn't find myself worthy of more or better. My outer appearance does not define me, but it's my temple meant to be loved and cherished as God intended. Irony was that when I didn't care, and when I was failing my body, there was no mention. When I began to care, change, evolve, it became that I was "vain". Stab. Ouch... Fact is through any and every transformation of self you have to constantly evaluate your intentions and your truth. Don't apologize for things you shouldn't need to. Yes, I wake early and do my hair and makeup everyday. Why? Because personally for me it helps my mindset stay in a place of self love, combined with prayer and surrounding myself with good people. It's a personal choice and also a personal hobby. Yes, Hobby. Style, hair and makeup are things I'm quite interested in! For a long time I didn't think I was "allowed" to wear certain styles because that wasn't "me". But I had wanted to. So I gave myself permission. To be me. Whatever that meant. Whatever that looked like. Just like always, the only thing ever standing in my way - was me. This isn't a battle against each other, against life, against the world. It's just you vs you. Just be the one you want to be, that one your soul craves. Oh, and be kind to everyone. You never know their story. #saygetsfit #transformationtuesday #beforeandafter

This morning was my favorite kind of gong show. Thanks @twosumms for the ever so glamorous captures ??
